Yes, I'm afraid it's true. Dave Farber passed away suddenly on Saturday. We are working to handle all of the arrangements here. The "tsuya" (wake -- more formal than an Irish wake, but less formal than a funeral) will be Thursday evening 1800-2030, then the funeral will be 1100 on Friday, both at Himonya Kaikan in Meguro, if you are in/around Tokyo.
