I mean, this is actually legit good that public housing is going this, but do we really have technbros re-inventing a bog standard air con?
"Heat pumps" aren't new - they're just running the air con on reverse cycle hot mode. It's been the standard way for heating homes in Aus/NZ since forever.
This doesn't need eleborate techbros and startups. This just needs the housing comission to learn to press the mode button on the air con remote.
All electric. It's as clean as your grid, and usually about 300% efficient, so just use what we've already got rather than trying to reinvent a bog standard appliance that already works really. frikkin. well.
