This is their explanation for how the data was collected.
"Purposive sampling is a recognized non-probabilistic sampling technique because the author chose the participants based on the study’s purpose. The respondents of this study were students at different universities in Pakistan and China. After that, they were asked to give their responses through a questionnaire. The number of participants who took part in the study was 285. This data collection was around two months, from 4 July 2022 to 31 August 2022."
How can you collect valid survey data if you don't know anyone at the institutions being surveyed?
