Vox has published an article on treatment for non-specific low back pain (back pain that doesn't have an easily identifiable underlying cause), which I have.
You can read it here: https://getpocket.com/explore/item/a-comprehensive-guide-to-the-new-science-of-treating-lower-back-pain?utm_source=pocket-newtab. It's a long article.
TL;DR:
* It's still difficult to tell what works vs what doesn't
* There may be a psychological connection with low back pain
* Exercise (yoga, physical therapy, pilates, etc) can be helpful but unclear how much
* Major interventions (opiods, surgery) mostly don't work
