@gruber I think what you're missing about the ChatGPT "superapp" is that if they're following Claude's lead, Claude ships with an entire Linux virtual machine inside its desktop app. That's why Claude is 13GB. If Claude Code and Claude Cowork were truly separate apps, they'd either need to share a VM or they'd need a combined 25+GB. When your not-even-local-LLM AI app needs 13GB of disk space just to start up, only shipping one of them makes more sense.
