@@wim_v12e@scholar.social @@pozorvlak@mathstodon.xyz What I heard recently, the demand for turbines make them use 27% efficiency turbines instead regular having 80% efficiency burning three times more gas and in U.S. also fracking the gas draining water resources and terrible pollution all around.

@michal do you have a link for that? I'm sure there's some loss from going to smaller and/or aircraft-derived engines, but 80% sounds implausibly high and 27% sounds implausibly low - that's in the range of car engines!
