But there were other people starting Solarpunk independently, like Solarpunk: Histórias Ecológicas e Fantásticas em um Mundo Sustenavel in 2012. The whole makerspace and hackerspace movement, especially from the Global South, looking for its own narrative space. I wrote about it at https://lenses.alxd.org/ It was never just aesthetics.
