@renchap@oisaur.com I don't remember if I've seen an answer to this question: If I attempt to link a post on another Mastodon server will it be forcibly upgraded to a quote post, or will I have the option of simply making it a link?

@mcc@mastodon.social @renchap@oisaur.com Links won't be turned into quote posts under any circumstances, but links to Mastodon posts will continue to generate preview cards just as they have until now (if they are the first link in the post and there are no file attachments).
