Some neurodivergent people (people with neurodevelopmental, intellectual, etc disabilities) have a hard time following the topic of conversation through replies, quoting and having their post quoted make it much easier for them When I still had accounts on corporative social media I had several mutuals, mainly with intellectual disabilities, that used quotes as an accessibility and with whom you had to interact by quoting and being quoted.
