In my Android Studio project, I upgraded 1 dependency from 1.5.0-alpha19 to 1.5.0-alpha20, then started a Gradle sync. This took 7 minutes. Gradle scanned all dependencies and all caches (and probably my whole computer :D). Gradle just sucks in terms of performance.
