Four years ago, on this date, @eniko , our cat Freya, and I landed in Cyprus after a thirty six hour journey. It's had it's challenges, and some things (like Cyprus post) have been rather disappointing, but overall it's been good, and quite a few things really are better. The big ones ( ie lower cost fo living and better weather) are pretty obvious, but a few others aren't Here are a few little things that are great: -When I call a place, a real person usually picks up the phone -Almost no junk mail -No one has tried to evangelize me, not even once! -No lawns (seriously, I hate lawns and my previous city in America mandated lawns for all houses) -So many cats!!! I knew Cyprus had a lot of cats, but it's still so nice to walk somewhere and see several cats on the way
