I assume you know @newsmast@backend.newsmast.org? I doubt they're drowning in money either, but they exist, have a team, etc., plus your missions sound aligned. Maybe they'll have contacts.
Definitely 📌 for ActivityPub in Django, could speed up https://github.com/anze3db/fedidevs/issues/208 for me, which I want/need to get back to this summer. /cc @anze3db@fosstodon.org
