@internic@mathstodon.xyz @androcat@toot.cat @dougmerritt@mathstodon.xyz I think, but I'm speaking from memory, that some interpretations called spontaneous collapse can be tested, and that indeed the evidence seemed to be slightly against them. But again, speaking from memory only.

    @davidsuculum@mathstodon.xyz That's a good point! You're correct that there are a number of such theories. The one I've encountered quite often is the Diósi-Penrose model. I do think of these as being somewhat in their own category, though, precisely because they actually propose to make an empirically-testable modification of the Schödinger equation in order to address things like the measurement problem. @androcat@toot.cat @dougmerritt@mathstodon.xyz
