@bart@sociabl.be @shafik@hachyderm.io people only see the dream: a rich guy backs Trump so if they follow him they can also get rich? It’s a logical fallacy the same as: I can fit in my shoes and my shoes fit in a box so I fit in that box.
You cannot expect from those people to be able to think logically on complex topics like inflation and economy. They only see that cost of living is too high and the one who is currently leading the country whom would have to change that.

The ad networks know a lot about their users, and they push content to steer the vote in the direction their owners choose. Inflation does the trick for some, others care more about migration, the content is adapted individually based on tens of thousands of parameters that are tracked by the algorithms. The only quick way to change that is to regulate these platforms, and their owners will now write the regulations. Game over.
