With a card at one of the regional networks (Minuteman, SAILS, NOBLES, Merrimack Valley, Old Colony, CW-MARS, or my favorite abbreviation, CLAMS) you can usually borrow, at least electronically, from all the others (plus BPL)… so if you want an ebook or audiobook with a hold line, you can go shopping at eight different catalogs for the shortest line. Or find books your network doesn’t have in their catalog.
