@swachter@toot.boston some German libraries include something called Pressedatenbankzugriff (press database access), which indexes news articles. If that's part of your membership, there is a Firefox add-on that will automatically try to find the paywalled articles in that database and place the text on the website. It's an pretty cool idea.

@marcusdeh@indieweb.social @swachter@toot.boston So, in US-centric terms, it's like if Nexis Uni or Factiva had a browser plugin that helps you access the licensed version of paywalled news content? On the one hand, that would be amazing. On the other, I don't know if I'd install a plugin that gave RELX or Dow Jones & Company access to all my web surfing....
