@vwdasher@weird.autos @clanger9@mastodon.online I saw your photos from the Melbourne Motor Show, I was really surprised that a lot of Chinese automakers are selling cars in Australia.
I visited Australia 14 years ago. Buck then, only Great Wall Motors sold utes, and they weren't popular. But now, why have Chinese cars become so popular there?

@nezuko_2000@weird.autos @clanger9@mastodon.online Price! They're cheap and cheerful. Car prices rose dramatically during the pandemic so cheaper prices will get sales. BYD is smashing it here, as is MG and GWM.
