Main issue with the new job is that, given it's a day-rate contractor role, taking days off is a very binary choice. I know exactly how much money I lose every time, and it's already eating into things like taking time off for an upcoming surgery. But now that things are a bit more financially stable, I'd love to travel a bit this year. Budget would be super limited, and I'd try to limit it to weekend breaks because of the time-off issue. Maybe visit some European cities I've never been to?
