We used to have issues like that with under-supported OSS solutions, so the admin decided to give that money to Microsoft so we can complain about Microsoft instead of our own IT staff. 🤡

@jsdodge@fediscience.org I'm not complaining about our IT staff, I'm complaining about the Matrix stack (at least, using Element's reference implementation) being quite bad.
