Hey'ya people
I am back again with wild ideas :3
So I currently plan to use an old SSD in my Experimental ThinkPad and use it for my RPi4 simply because I am not really actively using that ThinkPad and because I want a faster and more stable storage
Now here is the thing
I have USB 3.0 SATA cases that allow to connect any SATA drive and hook it up to USB 3.0
The thing is I have seen many people making all sorts of adapters via the GPIO of the Raspberry
My question is
Would it be worth it to get an adapter for the GPIO or is the speed similar to when I just plug in the drive via USB?
The only issue I noticed with the USB method recently is that it seems to cause lagging to the Raspberry.
Tho this may have been at fault for using a HDD instead of a SSD.
Also to make sure this is clear, the SSD is meant to take over the entire operating system of the Pi and not just be used as extended storage.
