@matthew@social.retroedge.tech i disagree. the true test of a free man is how he acts in total omnidirectional panopticon, in a world where anybody can spy on anybody else, when no street corner is dark, when the very wind itself carries his voice to every ear that will listen. will the collective judgment of eight billion people strain his desire to live freely, or will he live as though his every passing thought is a decree from heaven? only the latter can truly be called free, for the former is a slave to the opinion of his peers.
