I was talking to someone about someone else who got railroaded because his roommates lied to the police in order to get him arrested and they stole his shit and sold it for drugs. The person I was talking to couldn't wrap their heads around how they could even be charged at all the confusion when I explained how far it got into the system how many court dates how much money. They really couldn't comprehend how that could even happen. Our justice system is this thing you're told is extremely fair and it's the best and you should trust it. If you find yourself inside that system for pretty much any reason it's going to be a negative on your life and if you're a White dude doing pretty well they are going to try their best to get as much money out of you as possible. I talked to a kid one time that he was on probation for disorderly conduct and his parents were rich his probation officer tried to make him take sex offender classes and drug classes and anger management, just to milk money out of the kid. The judge had to step in and get him another PO. The PO of course won't have any sort of punishment because they can say that's what they were trained to do.
