btw easiest way to avoid microplastics is to not drink plastic bottled liquids and to not store hot things in plastic or use plastic to reheat something in the microwave.
always use glass or ceramic for heating, always use glass for liquids or use tin/aluminium if not possible.
if you drink tap water, run it through a filter. (which you should be doing anyway because of copper and lime contaminants)

on the plus side glass and tin/aluminium are way, way higher yield when recycled than plastic so it's also just better in that regard. they don't absorb fatty liquids either, we've all had stained plastic containers.
