Like you are required by the state to do this or the wedding is null and void. First off, what the actual fuck? This is levels of TERF island the likes of which we have never seen. Forcing your spouse and the celebrant, by law to misgender you. No gender neutral terms, no using preferred terms, nothing. Second: WHY THE FUCK IS THE STATE DICTATING HOW PEOPLE DO THEIR OWN WEDDING CEREMONIES? They should deal with the paperwork and NOTHING ELSE, they should NOT have ANY say in the ceremony. I remember in RE finding out that Hindus (at the time) had to have a registry Wedding before they had a religious wedding because the government doesn't recognise Hindu weddings for some reason and I thought that was stupid (the same rule didn't apply for Christians, Muslims or Humanist Weddings). Now I'm hearing we have to FUCKING MISGENDER transgender people without a GRC at their own weddings by law? FUCK THAT SHIT, if I get married I'm marrying in International Waters as a fuck you to the government.
