You could use a plastic sheet or tarpaulin of sorts or a rubber mat?

@objectrecycler@woof.tech I hadn't thought about a mat on the floor, but do you mean like a silicone soldering mat on the bench directly? I was eyeing GamersNexus's modmat and wasn't sure if that'd work for drilling, too. I don't do much but I'd like to avoid scuffing my actual workbench veneer
