Starting to realise more and more just how much Kanji actually helps me with remembering new words instead of just trying to remember them with repetition, be that in audio or flashcard form. Especially with a site such as jpdb.io Came across the word 字幕 (jimaku/subtitles) this weekend. remembering it it's all that difficult, but when looking at the kanji and seeing it as letter+curtain makes so much sense and incredibly easy to remember as well as read more words that incorporate the kanji used.
