Also, he's talking as if every taxpayer in the state is taxed at 37%. You're only taxed that high on income over $626k per year. If you're married, it's only that high for income over $751k combined with your spouse. Almost nobody in any state is being taxed that high on any of their income.     He's also conveniently overlooking the fact that he's managed to avoid paying tax on so much of the money he's made in his career. If it had all been taxed as income, like how the rest of us are taxed on most or all of what we get, he would've paid several times more.
