You know, no one is trying to distinguish between "AI"-related cognitive deficits and COVID-caused cognitive deficits. Basically: are people experiencing severe cognitive problems *because* of using LLMs, or are they using/vulnerable to LLMs because they've had COVID 5-10 times and have brain damage? Disambiguating between these two phenomena seems important. But first they'd have to acknowledge that COVID brain damage is real, so 🤷‍♂️
