Let’s help the new Reform councillors settle into local government properly by emailing them this week with an actual council problem to solve.
Rubbish piling up? Email them.
Bus route disappeared into the void? Email them.
Streetlights dead? Email them.
Care package delayed? Email them.
Pavement looks like the Somme? Email them.
Send them in by the hundred. Politely, but very clearly, remind them what the job actually is.

Because being a councillor is not standing in front of a Union Jack shouting about dinghies on GB News. It’s reading committee papers at midnight. Attending meetings nobody enjoys. Holding surgeries in half-empty church halls. Arguing about drains, recycling contracts, SEND provision, parking permits and social care budgets. Welcome to local government. The boats are in Kent. The bins are in your ward. You can find your ward councillor’s email address on your local council website. 3/3
