U.S. citizens: The SAVE Act, which will disenfranchise any voter whose name doesn't match their passport--including millions of legally registered women, trans people, entertainment professionals--has passed the House and is going to the Senate. If you wouldn't mind, please take a second to text SAVE to 63033. It will notify your senator that you are against this insanity. Also, if you don't have a current passport, now is the time. I'm in the process of renewing mine, which has my married name and expires in November. I remember watching “I, Claudius” first-fun and thinking, “at least we’re safe from the likes of Tiberius and Caligula.” Damn, damn, damn.
