In any case whatever happens in an organisation is the result of dynamics created by senior leadership decisions as well as broader economic conditions. Pointing fingers at individuals who happen to be visible to you seems to feel good to many of you, I don't relate to that.

Generalisations about people in roles you regard as non technical are typical of the kind of toxic engineering culture I've railed against, so take any comments I make that you happen to find reassuring in that context lol.
