@feoh @technotim My suggested solution is a way to remote power-cycle 'em - 'smart' plugs are super cheap these days. Couple it with some dead simple monitoring from another box and you get automatic reboots whenever necessary. I used to do this with my cablemodem because it behaved similarly wrt going to la-la land.
