@CoralineAda@ruby.social There was and there is no global or regional workforce in tech in the meaning that any significant amount of people considered other people in that industry of the same merit even without rising the race/gender/religion/nationality differences. If an MIT-educated white cishet SWE at Google looked down say at a University of Georgia white cishet SWE at Google, there were no chance they'd agree to unionise even between them. They might only join for a moment in order to humiliate somebody a bit more different during the interview.
