@Oscii@mastodon.org.uk during the covid lock down my son was given free reign to do whatever he wanted for PE - so long as it was exercise. He taught himself to skateboard. Now he skates whenever he can and its really good for him - fresh air, exercise and meeting like minded people. PE curriculum needs to get out of the box

@Havoc_online@mastodon.social When I think back to my PE lessons, I am left wondering just what they thought they were achieving. It wasn't a lifelong love of exercise; it wasn't fitness; it wasn't any kind of sporting competence; it certainly wasn't pleasure; and there was no qualification at the end of it. What did THEY think the point was?
