It has been now 4 days of multiple rejections for a *critical bug fix update* to my app, where App Review asks me to remove entitlements that my app doesn't need, like com.apple.security.files.downloads.read-write It has been now 4 days where I try to explain to App Review that I need that entitlement to save a photo to the Downloads folder, as the default save location.

It's 1 Infinite Loop, where it looks like they ignore my explanation and write back the exact same request.

@rafa@mastodon.design You’re not alone. 6 days for us with a rejection for an outdated privacy label that we can’t change in App Store Connect. My favorite part is the absence of any visible error message, only a 409 status code with slightly more info in the response body.

  • @rafa@mastodon.design I miss the days when you could have a call with one of the people at Apple and talk them through the review process and get an answer there and then. Nowadays it feels like automation hell.

@rafa@mastodon.design Our app also got punished for using that entitlement to save files directly in Downloads folder just few weeks ago. This is real strange.
