@mcnado The reason right-wing asshats often give about why we "don't need universal healthcare" is that everyone gets treated in the ER (at a minimum.) None of them are talking lately about how ERs stay afloat. ERs are cost centers, required to be there for the building to be called a hospital, but if you starve them for money, for-profit hospitals will starve them for resources. And more people will die. And oligarchs will drink champagne and see their concierge doctor on a yacht call.
