As someone who makes knives and swords, seeing blade designs like this makes my insides scream.
They’re harder to make, and create an extremely weak point of failure.

I don’t make them, but I’ve trained with them and enjoy them as a hobby, and I also die inside a little when I see them

But you don’t understand! The Wraeththu are just better than us, so they know how to make things that look weak from the point of view of a dumb, inferior human, but they’re actually even better than katanas, which we all know to be the pinnacle of human weaponsmithing! ~/s~
