He also made it very clear he was good at being a soldier and did not know what else to do and it was good money. Plenty of people work for defense contractors in all sorts of jobs because it feeds their families, and plenty of people who do that are not in favor of the imperialistic war machine. If it came down to feeding and housing my kids… yeah I would have to compromise my values. I would agree that it took Bernie too long to get there, but he sure got farther than the majority and he has been working for all of us a long time, vs Collins who wont even talk to her constituents. You want someone better than Platner then go find them, last thing I want is more squeaky clean ivy league president of their student council lawyers with no ground truth. all you yanks fall for it again but the reality is you all don’t just fall for it but desperately latch onto any excuse to keep voting dem. I was ready to burn down the party when Obama started extra judicial killings and drone strikes, doubly so when they propped up Hillary because it was “her turn” more so when Biden wrote a blank check to Isreal, and when they failed to hold Trump accountable. Its a binary system for all sorts of reasons, and its going to take decades of voting for people like Grahm, and Bernie, and Mamdami to get to a place where we can actually break down that system. IDGAF if he is perfect, or pure enough, I need him to be good enough for now. Also, where are you from, whats your interest and reason for being so vocal and anti Platner? What do you gain from another term for Collins?
