    @DefectiveWings@infosec.exchange @furilabs@fosstodon.org halium device means it is built on top of the android kernel that the device is originally developed with and utilizes it to some extent to handle drivers. It has its pros and cons. The plus is it lets you get a lot of the hardware working quickly and get a usable device. The downside is kernel updates are very hard which is why this device is still on a 4.19 kernel and this might cause issues in multiple years when its EOL so some prefer a more mainline kernel.
