@henryseg@mathstodon.xyz No, having written a lot of LaTeX in my time, I've come to the conclusion that it is awful. Not only is the format arcane and tools practically unusable, but they're only any good for making PDFs, which are also awful with no real possibility for accessibility, multimedia, or interactive figures/explainables. I think the format's main function is as a barrier to entry, and I'm trying to remove those. However hedgedoc markdown supports MathJax, and is easily translatable to TeX via pandoc, which I'll do for generating PDFs for those that needs DOIs pointing at archival documents.
