@ninapaley@spinster.xyz I've been tempted by one ever since I heard you can re-do shop bought ice cream in it. There's a shop here that sells very good and affordable vanilla ice cream, but it's just plain. I'm thinking I could melt that, mix in a whole host of stuff like biscuits, berries, whatever, and then refreeze it in the machine. Himself likes Ben&Jerry's, but complains they don't sell any of the interesting flavours here. I on the other hand, find their ice cream base bland and boring. But with our own machine, maybe we could make something better, which we both like... But so far I've been held back by the "another appliance to take up space" issue... I produce in the kitchen are so good I feel sorry for the rest of the world for not getting to enjoy it. I get this nearly every time I bake a cake... But that's because I tend to be liberal with all the good stuff. And I have good recipes.
