@nicole@tietz.social I'm hopeful you'll very soon see that number two is, exactly, shit and this option choice is ruining critical thinking for the species. Number two is shit. Recognizing the shit that it is also eliminates number three so you're already twice as efficient.

@kristen_d@mastodon.social I think there's room for some nuance. it's probably clear that I don't use LLMs a lot, since step 3 for me isn't "try to use an LLM to do it", but skip straight to "oh yeah, I can do it." I've been through the cycles of having it turn off my brain. But... I also have chronic nerve pain, and there are times when I have to minimize my typing, and there are various AI (whisper model, etc.) technologies that help me do that.
