@Steve@social.coop Pandoc should work most of the times, but for scans you probably want to extract the text, so you may want to take a look at Tesseract OCR too.

@tedel@writing.exchange I have, that's what I use. It does a good job with the text, just not the formatting. Pandoc will not convert from PDF. There's a very specific error message saying so.
