@yvanspijk@toot.community I recently realized that I pronounce "comfortable" as "comf-ter-bl" with the t sound before the r sound. What's up with that? Is it an idiosyncratic error, or an example of an actual linguistic process?

@epicdemiologist@wandering.shop @yvanspijk@toot.community it is at least very common, so it's definitely not just you. I mostly say it (I grew up around it), but it always strikes me as weird because it's not like "mfterbl" is an easier or more common sequence of sounds to make :blobfoxthink:
