I remain super busy with work and have not been able to keep up with posts here. Sorry! But we have remained on the more wintry side of weather patterns, which has been great for trying out my new hat. Here's some proper photos of the hat doing its job of being a hat! The first two are paired with the scarf that started off this whole adventure. I think they work pretty well together! In the first two photos the hat's technically inside-out, with the golden yarn for the main ribs on the crown, while the second two are right-side-out. Overall I'm quite pleased with it! Just the right warmth and breathability for this weather. It tends to ride up and expose my earlobes as I move my head around, but short of shaping the hat with a notch to keep it away from the back of the neck, or to add ear flaps, I don't think there's much I could have done differently! My biggest regret is not starting the rings lower down.
