@art_of_goulwenr@mastodon.art no sadly not, but I guess it's is a thing with a lot of artists, if they pass a certain age or maybe something else had happened. Maybe he only was good with a certain team or a member of his household helped him with something that freed up his creative veign. Or he might just be tired with the whole premise of making movies. Who knows...

@AnnaSaultron@nerdculture.de it’s not much of a secret, he faced several problems: - Valerian had been such a box office failure that his production studio had to be declared bankrupt - Since he realised only movies that can help him paying his debts — not because he’s really interested in them - He also faces several accusations of sexual harassments that take him times and money and also some people don’t want to work with him anymore

@AnnaSaultron@nerdculture.de So clearly his greatest years are behind him, but since Valerian was before all of this and it was a project he seemed to cherish a lot, there was probably something else
