Came out tonight to a county board meeting where a proposal to officially recognize June 2026 as #Pride Month for only the second time in this very purple county is on the agenda. Folks, this room is packed to the gills with people in rainbow gear. Standing room only. Every person who has stood to speak has done so eloquently and from the heart. Stories of love, resilience, pain, and tragedy. However the board votes I am proud of my neighbors tonight. Update: the resolution failed with a split vote. Fuck them.
