Do you ever think about how unhinged means wild and out of control, when things without hinges are usually pretty stable. Like a table, no hinge, very solid. It is only when something that should normally be hinged has the hinges removed that being unhinged is destabilising. TLDR: 90% of the time you call something unhinged, that something should be completely unremarkable
