@swordgeek@mstdn.ca while all trans people should be treated with dignity and respect, and all trans people have the potential to face repression and even violence: trans women face a disproportional amount of bullshit, from all directions, even from other trans people. posts like these are usually made to point this out, about trans women specifically. in such cases, the correct answer is to listen, think about how things we're doing/not doing might be contributing to the mistreatment of trans women/transfems/fellow travellers, and use that as a point from which to (lack of a better phrase at the moment->) do better. (i'm transmasc myself, for reference)
