We've been contemplating of eventually doing a similar setup with one hive in our garden. I just don't want to accidentally piss off the neighbors.

@Pepijn@mastodon.online I can highly recomend getting a hive – bees are pretty easy going and it's a rewarding hobby. You can get in touch with your local beekeper association, they'll have "school"-hives you can have a look at and a course for beginners you can join.
